New $1.1M Prep Centre Underway
Mountain View Adventist College continues to expand its campus with the addition of a new $1.1M Prep Centre. The new Prep Centre started construction in January 2017 and unfortunately has been delayed due to the poor weather conditions that Doonside has experienced this year.
Upon completion, the new Prep Centre will consist of two classrooms, a riding track and new play equipment. "The new Prep Centre will enable the continued growth of our college by creating space for additional classrooms within our Junior School" Principal Mrs Jenny Gibbons said. "We are excited about this project and increasing our college's ability to provide further educational experiences for the children of Western Sydney."
Mountain View Adventist College has come along way since its beginnings almost 50 years ago with our first students being enrolled in January 1969. Now with 665 students, our College is large enough to provide a variety of subject choices and yet small enough for our teachers to get to know our students individually. Head of the Junior School, Mrs Paula Musa adds "Our College has seen a lot of change in this period of time and this project is just another demonstration of our commitment to the families and young people of Western Sydney".
The new Prep Centre is currently planned to be completed on 31 July 2017, of course, weather permitting!
